Qualifications:
- Education: Hold a Doctorate degree in Medicine, either Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or Medical Doctor (MD).
- Licenses/Certifications: Possess a valid MD or DO license/certification, specifically in Iowa (IA). Additionally, have a current BC/BE certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Experience: Bring a minimum of 2+ years' experience in geriatric care, primary care, or post-acute care. Familiarity with value-based care is preferred.
- Licensure Progress: Currently pursuing or possessing a DPS Certification and DEA Certification.
Your Role: As a member of our team, you will:
- Independently assess patients through history-taking, physical exams, and diagnostic interpretations.
- Formulate accurate diagnoses and treatment plans based on integrated patient data.
- Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests as needed.
- Prescribe appropriate treatments, both pharmacological and non-pharmacological.
- Collaborate, educate, and supervise Advanced Practice Providers in managing patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and provide clear instructions to patients and families.
- Exercise autonomy in medical decision-making while delivering a range of diagnostic and therapeutic services.
- Contribute to the enhancement of medical quality assurance and quality control standards.
